All names and nouns are MEISHI. They never change.
Most nouns are single or composite Kanji 漢字
Some nouns are written in Hiragana, when the context is clear and unambiguous. Foreign words from the West are "shreddered" in Katakana: ディモクラシ DE-i-MO-KU-RA-SHI = DEMOCRACY or better 民 主 主 義 MIN-SHU SHU-GI = Democracy (literally "Folks Rule").
