An adverb describes a condition.
In Japanese, adverbs are derived from
adjectives:
They end mostly on く -KU
(from the adjective い -I):
- YO-KU: good ← YOI: good (YO-I [XYZ] = a good [XYZ]
Eine second class has no specific ending, and they do not change:
- MAZU: now, ...
- MATA: once again, additionally
- MADA: not yet
