I am a book worm ever since. And when I became interested into Japan
back in 1980, books were my single source of information ...
... I started self-studying Japanese writing only with the help of books in 1985. Later, I met Japanese people, too, and learned how to talk :) Then in 1991, I lived in Japan for a while. When I returned, I took many books with me :) I only introduce some titles here, as a suggestion to readers, but this is no sale! As Japan had "imported" Chinese characters for usage in Japanese language, sometimes via Korea, I became curious about Chinese and Korean, too, but just a little. All characters of these languages are based on or derive from Chinese characters and the way how to write them with classic brushes. |
